Contact Dr. Varga
Dr. Varga is a licensed clinical psychologist within the state of Minnesota specializing in neuropsychological and psychological assessment of children, adolescents and adults. She has been working with children and families providing education, clinical consultation, assessment, and therapeutic services for the past twenty years. Dr. Varga has worked in a range of settings across the United States and Canada, including primary care, hospital, military, community mental health, schools, and inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Dr. Varga has expertise in pediatric and medical psychology, developmental issues, and neurological injury and illness. She has specialized training in the assessment of individuals with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) and otherprenatal exposures, birth injury and prematurity, genetic disorders, autism, medical conditions, head injury, and trauma. Dr. Varga provides court-ordered forensic evaluations, private evaluations with attorneys and Independent Medical Evaluations (IME). Dr. Varga is a national speaker on FASD and special populations in the criminal justice system.
At Treehouse Dr. Varga provides neuropsychological and psychological assessment to children, adolescents and adults ages 2 and older. She also provides individual and family therapy to a select number of clients. Dr. Varga has a special interest in parenting consultation and support.
Dr. Varga received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. She previously completed a B.Ed. and M.Ed. at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Varga completed her predoctoral and postdoctoral clinical training at the Veteran's Administration in Boston, MA, Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital, and Primary Children's Medical Center in SLC, Utah. Dr. Varga is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology (IACFP), Society of Pediatric Psychology and the Psychology and Law Society.
